It started with a hammock.

Lebanon has some of the most beautiful forests in the Middle East — cedar groves in Tannourine, pine ridges above Faraya, ancient oaks in the Chouf, coastline stretching from Anfeh down to Tyre. Wild, alive, waiting. And no decent hammock to hang in any of them.

And yet — nobody was making quality outdoor gear for the people who actually wanted to be out there.

So we built it ourselves.

Born Out of Frustration. Fuelled by Lebanon.

Fly The Coop started because our founder couldn't find a proper hammock in Lebanon. Not one worth buying. Not one that could handle a weekend in Akkar or a long afternoon above Beirut without falling apart.

So instead of waiting, we sourced, tested, refined — and launched Lebanon's first dedicated hammock brand. Six animal-themed designs. Each one tough enough for the mountains, light enough for your backpack, beautiful enough to make you want to stay out there longer.

That was the beginning. What followed was something bigger: a full outdoor brand, a growing community, and a mission tied to the forests we love.

Every Hammock Sold = 2 Trees Planted in Lebanon

This one matters to us.

For every hammock sold, we plant two trees in Lebanon — in partnership with AFDC, the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation. A real organisation. Real trees. Real soil.

Between 100 and 500 trees planted so far. Cedars back in Tannourine. Pines in the Chouf Biosphere Reserve. Oaks in Akkar. Going back into the ground that gives this country its character.

Lebanon loses forest every year to fire, neglect, and urban sprawl. The Tannourine Cedar Nature Reserve and the Chouf Cedar Reserve are two of the last great forests we have left. We're not saving them alone — but every hammock you buy puts two more trees in the ground.

We Don't Just Sell Gear — We Get Outside Together

Almost every month, we organise outdoor community escapes across Lebanon's forests and mountains. No agenda except being somewhere beautiful and getting off your phone for a few hours.

Once a year, we run a community tree-planting day — multiple locations across Lebanon, all at once. Hands in the dirt. Real impact.
